Shevonica M. Howell is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Academy of Scholars, Inc. and she is also a decorated Army veteran and author of books written to motivate, educate, and inspire change. Notably, Ms. Howell won $15K in a business plan competition which became the push needed for her to step out on faith as a new business owner. Moreover, for more than a decade Ms. Howell has participated in approximately 105 motivational speaking engagements to date, to include a standing ovation she received for giving her expertise at an event honoring Female Activists, Dorothy Pitman Hughes and Gloria Steinman, in 2015. Ms. Howell has earned an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum Instruction Management (2016) from Nova Southeastern University as well as a second Educational Specialist degree in Brain-Based Teaching (2015). She earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix (2010) and her undergraduate degrees, a Bachelors in Business Management and an Associates in Marketing, from Jones College (1995-1996). Last but definitely not least, Ms. Howell is the proud mother of two and grandmother of three! Ms. Howell remains to be a positive advocate for youth and she continues to give back to her community by promoting education.
